Fitness Club

The fitness club is housed in a newly expanded facility that is almost double the size of the previous area.  This has allowed us to purchase some new commercial-grade equipment, make room for a stretching area, and provide two flat-screen TVs, equipped for wireless headsets, for viewing local programming, and a TV equipped with a DVD player for viewing exercise videos.
 
The goals of the Roadhaven fitness club are to maintain the fitness center for the use and enjoyment of all members and guests, to offer instruction on the use of the fitness center equipment, provide educational opportunities for all Roadhaven residents on the value of exercise and proper diet, and to offer activities such as the Walk For Life and personalized physical assessments to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Residents can join the club by filling out an application form (click on the “Membership Application” link to download an application form or obtain a form in the Fitness Center, found on the bulletin board.)  Fees are $20 per person or $35 per couple for a season (July 1 through June 30).  Simply complete the membership application and mail it to the Fitness Club Treasurer at #1075, using in-park mail.  Applicants will receive a sticker and a membership number identifying them as members of the club. Guests of Roadhaven members may use the facility by paying a fee of $5 and completing a membership application.

Equipment Available includes cardiovascular equipment, four exercise bicycles (two Star Trac S-series recumbent bikes, 0ne Star Trac S-series upright bike, one Airdyne upright bike), two Precor elliptical exercise (EFX) machines, one recumbent elliptical machine, three Precor treadmills, a universal weight machine with five stations, Roman chair/sit-up bench, Preacher curl weight bench, two adjustable flat incline benches, complete sets of dumbbell weights, resistance stretch tubes, stability balls, wobble board, balance trainer, and mats for floor exercises and stretching.
