Computer Club |
The Computer Club was established to provide
a forum to promote information exchange for
all computer users within Roadhaven Resort.
We are associated with EVACC. (East Valley
Association of Computer Clubs) The Club
strives to provide an atmosphere where
problems and solutions can be discussed and
a relationship can be developed between
those needing guidance and those that have
the background, experience and ability to
provide assistance.
We offer classes in the lab at various times
during each week. They include classes for
beginning and intermediate computer users,
as well as specialty classes on using the
Internet, Word Processing, Spreadsheets,
Digital Cameras, Photo Imaging, creating
Greeting Cards, making Labels, E-Mail,
Computer Maintenance and other areas of
interest to our club members. We also
schedule monitored "open labs" for our
members to come in and practice their
skills, connect to the Internet or work with
their e-mail.
Membership is
$15 per individual or family unit for the
annual season.
Our computer lab is housed in the northeast
corner of the Apache Building. We have 20
computers in our lab. The lab computers are
for use by members of the club to provide a
place to practice skills, for instruction,
and for training in many different areas of
interest. Our club proudly supports both
Windows and Macintosh systems and we welcome
ALL computer users from beginners to highly
advanced. We are a club that helps one
another! Members also enjoy Internet access
through our DSL connection. We are pleased
to have such a nice facility with Windows
and Macintosh computers in our comfortable
lab!
Computer Club
meetings are held in the Dakota room
adjacent to the computer lab. Business
meetings are held on the second Wednesday of
each month at 9:00 a.m. Program meetings are
held the fourth Wednesday of each month at
9:00 a.m. Programs consist of speakers on
many various topics as well as
demonstrations including burning CD's,
cleaning computers, filling printer
cartridges, digital imaging and more.
Our Mac User Group meets on the first &
third Wednesdays at 9:00 a.m. in the
Computer Lab. Topics of discussion are
directed toward the wishes of the members of
the group.
Join the Computer Club and make use of the
PC's and Macs! Sign up sheets for classes
are located just outside the inner door to
the Computer Lab. If you can teach a class
on any theme or specific software please let
the club officers know!
